Account deletion
Delete your Transit Hunter account
This page deletes a Transit Hunter account and the data attached to it. Transit Hunter is the satellite-transit planning app published by Embarc Information Technology Private Limited. You do not need the app installed to use this page.
Request deletion by email
Enter the email address on the account. We will send you a confirmation link; opening it and pressing the button deletes the account.
The link expires in 60 minutes and works once. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
Or delete it inside the app
If you still have Transit Hunter installed, or you use the web app, you can delete your account directly:
Settings → Account → Delete my account
This is immediate and needs no email confirmation, because you are already signed in.
Only want to remove one saved place, watch or equipment profile? You can delete those individually and keep your account — Delete your data explains how.
What deletion does
What is removed, and what is kept
Deleted immediately
- Your account record and email address
- Sign-in sessions, sign-in codes and any linked Google or Apple identity
- Saved places, including their coordinates
- Monitors and standing alert rules
- Reminders and queued or delivered notifications
- Push and device registrations
- Equipment profiles
- Subscription records and your saved billing profile
- Search-usage counters
Kept, and why
One category survives deletion, and only one: the record of a payment you actually made — the notification our payment provider sent us when the money moved. It is stored as the provider sent it, so it can include the name, email address and phone number you gave at checkout, with the amount and the provider's transaction references.
It is kept to reconcile payments and as evidence if one is later disputed or refunded, for as long as the applicable statutory period for transaction records requires. It is not used to profile you, not used to contact you, and not linked to a live account, because the account no longer exists.
If you never paid for Plus, none of this applies. There is no such record and deletion removes everything.
The Privacy Policy sets out the retention period in full.
Accounts with no email address. Transit Hunter can be used anonymously, with no account and no email. An anonymous account has no address to send a confirmation link to, so it cannot be deleted from this page — delete it from Settings → Account in the app, or simply stop using the app and the anonymous record expires on its own.
The process
What happens after you submit
You enter your address
We show the same confirmation message whether or not that address has an account, so this page cannot be used to discover who has one.
We email a confirmation link
This proves you control the address. Without it, anyone who knew your email could delete your account.
You open it and confirm
The link shows what will be deleted and asks you to press a button. Merely opening the link does not delete anything.
Deletion happens immediately
There is no waiting period and no manual review. The account and its data are removed as soon as you confirm, and any signed-in sessions stop working.
Need help?
If you cannot access the address on your account, or the confirmation email never arrives, write to us and we will complete the deletion for you.
